In 1939, together with her brother, Shimon, Sarah joined the hahshara in Izbék. Her brother died in a work accident in the nearby quarry. Sarah helped refugees, members of her movement that arrived in Budapest. She provided food and food coupons for them and even accommodated some of them in her house. She obtained authentic documents from the Population Registry.
Sarah made aliya after the liberation of Hungary and joined Kibbutz Yassur. Later she left the kibbutz and lived in Ra’anana.
